The Maboule festival is back again
this winter, warming up the heads and the hearts on the weekend of the 16th, 17th and 18th of December!
For the 8th edition, TOF Theatre and Le Monty are programming a festival more wacky, popular and merrier than ever. A rendezvous during which contemporary puppetry, object theatre, music and fairground agitations will delight everyone.
19 shows and more than 60 performances indoors and outdoors:
Artistic crushes gleaned from the company’s tours, newly hatched projects, cult shows by emblematic artists in the sector, companies from Belgium (French-speaking and Dutch-speaking), France and Spain to be discovered in the various venues and streets of Genappe. All this to bring out the dynamism and the fantastic diversity of the creation of the Arts of Puppetry and the Associated Arts.
There will be something for all ages (from 6 months to 106 years old) for all languages (even that of signs) and for all imaginairy, from minimalist form to cinematographic, magical and musical creation, including off the wall humor or fairground entertainment.
Highlight on « Puppet Crash Test »:
First encounter with an audience of small forms just out of the heads and the hands of emerging artists previously hosted in residence by the TOF Theatre in a dynamic of support and transmission. A way to discover the early stages of the creative process and to get a feel of the hybrid and popular art of puppetry.
This year more than ever, the MAboule Festival wants to be accessible to all budgets with entry prices that have not been increased and rebate up to 20% for multiple purchases. This will allow to alleviate the budget of families on the one hand, that of passionate, curious and gourmet festival-goers on the other hand. We are also pursuing collaboration with the non-profit organization “Article 27”.
